Tunku Ismail suspended six months, a fine of RM18, 000

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) today sentenced to six months and fined RM18, 000 for the Football Association of Johor (PBNJ), Tunku Tunku Ibrahim Ismail for violating Article 88 of the body.

Tunku Ismail was found guilty of making statements that deemed to oppose and discredit the credibility of FAM.

During the period of suspension, Tunku Ismail prohibited from engaging in any of the activities association football, have effect today.

Tunku Ismail was also fined RM18, 000 for committing two offenses.

FAM Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Datuk Taufek Abd Razak said Tunku Ismail can not appeal.

"After considering all aspects including Tunku Ismail guilty plea, the committee met today and agreed to impose punishment on her for two offenses.

"For the first offense, Tunku Ismail guilty of giving a press statement in violation of Article 88 of the Statute of the FAM and for that offense he was suspended six months and fined RM8, 000.

"The second charge under code 05.18, the same article, he has issued statements that insult, humiliate and discredit FAM and fined RM10, 000," he said at a press conference at Wisma FAM yesterday.

Add Taufek, "total penalty for all offenses is RM18, 000 and suspended six months from engaging in any activity in association football."

"The sentence is not appealable because it is a minimum sentence," said Taufek.

On 20 February, Tunku Ismail questioned the quality of ground water football court deemed not qualified after passing through seven League Malaysia.

He said the problem is not only affecting Johore and Johor but also involving other teams
