EVEN wish hockey nation Sultan Azlan Shah Cup to-22 failed, but the success of reaching the final is actually quite satisfactory to all parties.

Down with raging vigor, the Malaysian team led Paul Revington almost ending 30 years without the title since the tournament was introduced in 1983, when Australia managed to tie before losing 2-3 in the final action in Ipoh yesterday.

According to records, the squad advanced to the final edition in 1985, 2007 and 2009. Unfortunately, the team lost all the previous finals.

Still, credit should be given to all national hero because Mohd Razie Abdul Rahim announced as the Player of the Tournament, while Faisal Saari appear Highest scorer and co-player network sharing India, Rupinder Pal Singh.
