Walcott ready to face Brazil

Theo Walcott hopes injury striker Jermain Defoe and Daniel Sturridge gave him the opportunity lead the England attack in a prestigious friendly match against Brazil at Wembley Stadium today.

Walcott was proving sharpness in front of goal when it clog making him 18 goals for Arsenal scorers since the club provides the opportunity to play as a central striker.
The 23-year-old can only scored four goals in 30 appearances for England, but he believes his performance at the club will influence national coach Roy Hodgson to give him a job as a center-forward as desired.

Everything went well at Arsenal, but Daniel and Jermain had fallen out, so there's a chance (with England), he said. It is the manager's decision. I train with Wayne on the front, so no one knows.

I can play in any position for England and Arsenal, but I believe I am a pure striker and I'm sure in the next few years I would play in the regular division.

Ashley Cole is in the list of seven England players who will receive the 100 if the hood down in the match after Peter Shilton, David Beckham, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Billy Wright and Steven Gerrard.

Ashley is very important. He's an experienced player and has won many titles, says Walcott.
