RM2.2 million security van carrying stolen


A security company van carrying cash of RM2.2 million stolen three men armed with an electric shock device in front of a food court in Jalan 51A/227 onto Jalan 222 here today.

Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the robbery occurred at 10 am when the van carrying three employees of the company on the way to send money to a bank in the capital.

He said all the workers before the stop at the food court to buy food before suddenly three men armed with electric shock devices and masked the board an MPV vehicle, get out and struggled with the van driver involved.

"The driver, who was outside the van, injured by one of the suspects punched. Suspect continued to confiscate cash in the van and fled with their vehicles," he said at a press conference here today.

He said police took the evidence of the three workers aged 25 to 31 years was to investigate the incident, including if there is any violation of standard operating procedures (SOP).

"Include a SOP, the driver can not get out of the van. They claim not possible to pinpoint the number plate MPV but certainly, it is a plate of Uttarakhand.

We will examine closed circuit television footage at the scene, "he said.
