6 students arrested distribute drugs

Ten men, including six private college students detained Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division District Police Headquarters (IPD) Petaling Jaya in five separate raids here on Thursday, was believed to have a member of the drug syndicate targeting the institute of higher learning (IHL) in the Klang Valley to market.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said, was also seized in the raid and intelligence, public information slabs of dried plant believed marijuana weighing 7.5 kilograms worth about RM50, 000.

According to him, four men, including two college students nabbed with marijuana weighing one kilogram at their rented house in Kota Damansara in the first raid last February 2.


"Following the first raid led to four more raids in Sungai Way and Sea Park revenue interrogation of the four suspects involved.

"In the raid last Wednesday, police arrested a man at his home in Sungai Way along with seven pieces weighing 6.677 grams of marijuana and seized scales and packing equipment," he said at a press conference yesterday.

In the raid on Tuesday in Sea Park, Arjunaidi said they detained a man and a college student each bring with marijuana weighing 638 grams and 205 grams.
