What is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will oppose PAS candidate Datuk Husam Musa seize Putrajaya parliamentary seat in the general election of the 13th (13GE)?

Dr Mahathir believed may decide contested the Putrajaya parliamentary seat after finding that most of the voters in Putrajaya are from Kelantan which has a strong sentiment against the pass and candidates from Kelantan Pas.

Dr Mahathir's determination to run for at this time is said to be made to ensure Putrajaya developed from his thoughts and aspirations continue to remain in BN.

Political analyst Prof Datuk Mohamad Abu Bakar said Dr Mahathir, the former president of Umno and BN chairman, had a strong influence and is now seen as working hard campaigning across the country.

"He took seriously the possibility of an offer voiced former prime minister to compete Husam seize Putrajaya parliamentary seat.

"The prime minister will make the best decisions determine the BN candidate in the area and likely influenced and take off Mahathir for competing bids," he said.

He is expected to announce the BN candidate list on Tuesday.

Mohamad, who also heard about Dr Mahathir's desire compete in Putrajaya, said the leader of the statesman status will be faced with two competing implications of this time.

"Firstly, if Mahathir back in elections, it will symbolize the BN is now bereft candidate can win," he said.

Secondly, Mohamad, Mahathir will be seen to have taken a stand against the spirit before retreating veterans often advise leaders to make way for new faces.
