PRESIDENT Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Sultan Ahmad Shah said the withdrawal of the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim Idris of the President of Johor Football (PBNJ) is a loss to the sports development in Johor.
Patrons described the task as though PBNJ still something nice, but Sultan Ahmad Shah still advise Tunku Ismail to rethink the desire for the good of football in the southern teams homeland.
Sultan Ahmad Shah, who was surprised when told of the news last night said: "if it's good he wants to be the patron (PBNJ), it is a good thing for the state of Johor Football.
"But I do not want to comment on this resignation. What I can say is that withdrawal is a huge loss for PBNJ.
"Tunku Ismail was a lot of support and change the football scene in the state. With an effort he is doing, we can personally see how the impact of the transformation that has brought, particularly among supporters of Johor himself.
"Whatever it is, I hope he thinks the intention is good. Johor football fans still need it, and I want to tell him that no man on this earth who has never made a mistake. "
Sultan Ahmad Shah found at Awards Dinner ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) in Kuantan, Pahang last night.
At the ceremony held for the first time, Sultan Ahmad Shah honored ASEAN Goodwill Award 2013 for efforts to develop football in the region.
In another development, Sultan Ahmad Shah, who is also President of the AFF explain association football nations of Southeast Asia that aims to build a headquarters AFF in Putrajaya soon.
"At this time the exact location of the headquarters was not immediately clear aff more ... we are still looking for suitable land in Putrajaya to build it.
"Whatever it is, it is still in the planning stage and if so it is, the media will be announced soon," he said.
