Terengganu PAS commissioner assured ability Raja Bahrin

Terengganu PAS commissioner Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut the defending Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat, abide by the decision of the party to make way for Datuk Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad as the party's candidate.

Admits not 'greedy' seats, Mohd Abdul Wahid said Pas had many qualified candidates, including from the palace.

"It was not determined (by the candidate), but decided by the party. Now this, vary Pass (candidate) and some of the palace, there are ordinary people and professionals. In terms of leadership, we have many (qualified candidates) and they qualified.

"So the strategy we want to promote the young, representing the palace, ordinary citizens and professionals to put forward candidates, representing all segments of society, including women, (but) there is also an artist," he said at the Pass Office of the State, today.

He said although the King Bahrin are new to politics, but he is confident of the ability and integrity of the cousin of the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.

"I also started from the new. So, I think he has a chance as we have seen, sometimes too many 'first timers' can win. That is normal.

"The time is very even, if people got fed up, lost too. So there was no question the new or old, as long as we see he has the authority, ability and people can accept him, I feel he same opportunity to others, "he said.

Meanwhile, he also said, announcing the candidate Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will be held on 18 April this broken out, Marang, after Isha prayers.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang will deliver a special lecture followed Maghrib Isha prayer, the next release candidate Hajat prayer and pledge of allegiance for PR candidates.

He said from the agreement, of the eight parliamentary seats in the state, none of the seven passes and another of PKR Kemaman.

He declined to comment on the number of seats contested Dun Pass and said it will be announced April 18.
