Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak ordered the police to expedite investigations and efforts to apprehending criminals shot dead a deputy director-general Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim.

In the incident about 8:15 am, the Shaharuddin shot two men on a motorcycle on the way to his office in Putrajaya, who boarded the train when it stopped at the traffic light junction of Highways to Lebuh Sentosa Vision.

Elaborating, he said the security of civil servants in this country need to be addressed, especially when they carry out.

"What am I going to explain here, the civil servants in the country must be protected even more so when they discharge their responsibilities in the national interest," he said.
