FAM hanging Shahidan 30 months, a fine of RM39, 000


PRESIDENT Perlis Football Association (PFA), Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim suspended 30 months and fined total of RM39, 000.

Shahidan an authorized punishment on power after official letter issued by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) within 14 days.

Punishment decided by the Disciplinary Committee which met nearly three hours today.

It also sets Shahidan can not appeal.

This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee FAM, Ednan Othman.

"Disciplinary Committee convened assume Shahidan FAM contempt for refusing to give feedback letter presented the main body, and that he will have to pay RM1, 000 for the first charge.

"He was also fined RM20, 000 for issuing a press release that violate Article 88.

"The third charge he suspended a minimum of two years and six months with RM10, 000 of the disciplinary offense of Article 18.5 and RM8, 000 for offenses against," said Ednan at a press conference at Wisma FAM Disciplinary Committee today.

Punishment was decided after the committee found guilty Shahidan make statements affecting the administration FAM, thus violated Article 88 Statute.

According Ednan, during the period of suspension, Shahidan not be involved in any football activities.

This means Shahidan lost status as President of the PFA.
