Manchester City are difficult chance

Roberto Mancini disappointed with the defeat of Manchester City on Saturday and admits the champions title hopes fade after Southampton ever surprise 3-1 win at St. Mary.

Mancini also furious when City show the worst performance throughout its service in a match that they are so desperate to win to continue to cram Premier League leaders Manchester United.

City two goals in 22 minutes with England goalkeeper Joe Hart giving away Southampton's second goal with an embarrassing mistake.

Although Mancini nephew narrow a goal by Edin Dzeko, an own goal by Gareth Barry's funny, enabling Southampton their first win under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

City remain nine points behind United and boss Mancini admits they seem to not have the opportunity to defend the league title.

"It is very difficult to win the league. I always feel confident and want to be in this situation but feels tough.

"I think we now have 10 percent (chance to win the title). I do not think United will lose 12 points," he said.

Mancini's team are now through three league games without a win and obvious frustration with the Italian when he slammed hard worst performing team.

"This show really badly. Southampton better than us. We give up two goals that I do not think a team like us can do.

"I have never seen our team conceding this. At the end, we do two big mistakes. We played this game with only two or three players. Three against 11 is really hard.

"I'm really disappointed with my players. When they play like this, I am very angry. Player abroad with international assignments, it's not an excuse, but there is a reason. Most of our players back last Friday and we played (Tuesday) . This makes it difficult, "he said.
