McLaren borrow only for drama


Famous drama actor and producer, Rosyam Nor yesterday denied allegations that he bought a luxury car brand McLaren MP4-12C are estimated to cost RM3.6 million in the country.

Rosyam, 46, when contacted, said the car built using Formula 1 technology was actually borrowed from a friend to an acting drama that will be aired on the station Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) soon.

"Oath of the car does not belong to me. It cost more than RM3 million, which maybe I can afford it," said the Castello film actor.

According to him, despite his own publishing company, Suhan Movies & Trading Pvt. Limited. has many local dramas and movies, but he described the success has not been enough to let him buy a super car like that.

"I am grateful for all the things which have been given to me through the recognition and success obtained by Suhan Movies, but not yet time for me to have a car.

"However, I want to stress here that the success that I have obtained through the publishing company is the result of cooperation between various parties, including the actors and directors who have made many contributions and ideas in our efforts to publish local dramas," he said.

Yesterday, a local entertainment blog reported that Rosyam whose real name is Mohamed Noor Shamsuddin had purchased a car McLaren MP4-12C are estimated to cost RM3.6 million.

Also included in the blog is a picture which shows him to be in the grounds of a house as he looked at the black car's McLaren.

In another development, Rosyam told, that he will fly to Bangkok, Thailand next week to complete the final process of filmmaking latest issue of Ballistic Suhan Movies directed by Silver.

"After the success of the film Castello in 2006, now I am back on the silver screen for the second gangster-style movie issue Suhan Movies.

"In addition, another issue Suhan Movies film titled Love Signals are being completed and it is directed by the director of Scream KL, Bade Azmi," he said.

Issued its first film, which premiered at the Castello in 2006 managed to reach RM1.56 million record collection.

Born in Kampung Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur has also won various awards in the world of acting.
