CCTV recorded the car carrying the three hostages

Suspect case.

High Court here yesterday, was told that the closed-circuit camera (CCTV) shows the car, believed to be used in cases of child abduction Dutchman, Nayati Shamelin Moodliar, 13, was at the scene on April 27 last year.

Assistant Superintendent, A Sidambaram, said the car involved in the abduction as early as 7 am on the day of the incident.

Sidambaram, who is the 13th prosecution witness, said the CCTV footage obtained from the Executive Condominium Almaspuri Administration, Lee Chin Hong, after being informed by the victim's father that there is footage of the incident.

"CCTV footage shows the victim was subsequently brought into the Proton Gen-2 at 7.41 am," he said.

Replying to a question by Deputy Public Prosecutor Jean Sharmila Jesudason, Sidambaram said he also saw a man running toward the Proton Gen-2 to hold the car involved.

He said that, once out of the condominium at 11 am, he met with the International School teacher, Jonathan Robert Daely.

"I found that Jonathan is the man in the CCTV footage seen trying to help the victims," he said.
On 27 April last year, the time of the incident Nayati was walking alone to school kidnapped for ransom of RM300, 000.

The accused, Chong Tat Siong, 25, Foong Khar Fai, 20, and Lee Phak Seng, 25, was charged under Section 3 of the Kidnapping Act 1961, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code, carries a sentence to death or life imprisonment and whipping if convicted.

The trial in front of Judge Kamardin Hashim continues today.
