Nik Aziz served until 'end of life'

Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, ignoring calls for him to resign but instead will continue to serve until the 'end of life'.

"As long as I breathe I will continue to hold the position and my role in the shaping of Islam," he told the media yesterday to answer various demands, including former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that he step down.

When multi-party dispute his ability to continue to govern Kelantan, Nik Aziz kept repeating the statement will still compete in the general election of the 13th (13GE) as before.

"The problem is who will be the chief minister after the later 13GE second problem, but I will continue to speak in Islam," he said.

Last month, Nik Aziz also said he would step down if the party does not need her anymore, while also 13GE Pass compulsory Centre has decided to contest.

Meanwhile, asked who was the best candidate to become prime minister if Pakatan Rakyat ruled the country at 13GE later, Nik Aziz stressed that the most important person is Muslim.

To record the results of GE 12 saw Nik Aziz won with a majority vote of the greater of 4,249, defeating Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Dr Nik Mohd Zain Omar at Dun Chempaka.

In 2008 the People's Anti-Corruption Movement (Gerak) has awarded him as the chief minister who has the cleanest record in Malaysia. The award is given in recognition of his efforts against corruption during the administration of Kelantan.

In addition, as a statement Besar Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan, Nik Abdul Aziz admitted that he is indeed not the holder of the key to the gates of heaven can assess a person's harshness.
