Lahad Datu invaders attacked seven in the morning


Security forces have launched attacks on the intruder armed groups in the village Tanduo, Lahad Datu on the hours of 7 am today, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
   
The Prime Minister said the government must take action to safeguard the dignity and sovereign state as required by the people as the government's efforts to prevent bloodshed in Lahad Datu unsuccessful.
   
"Instead, our security forces attacked and killed, the people of Malaysia, especially in Sabah, worried about their safety," he said in a statement earlier.

Najib said last Friday, intruders armed group in the southern Philippines which claims to be 'Army Sulu' in Sabah had been fired at the policemen on duty in the area led to two members of the security forces were killed and a day later six other policemen killed by an intruder in Semporna.
      
"After the first attack, I have insisted that an intruder must submit and if they refused the authorities will act," he said.

He said that since the invasion by armed groups in Lahad Datu on February 12, the government has taken the approach to resolve the conflict without bloodshed.
   
"The police had a meeting and negotiations with the invaders hope will agree out in peace without any legal action that seriously," he said.
   
He said that the peace-loving Muslim countries and struggle raises conflict resolution consultancy Frankly, the effort to avoid bloodshed in Lahad Datu unsuccessful.
   
"The longer this aggression continues, clear to the authorities that the invaders did not intend to come out of Sabah," he said.
