Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced seven projects for new infrastructure, amenities and transportation that will be carried out for the benefit of the people of Kelantan.
A new highway connecting Kuala Krai and Kota Baru; state of the art stadium, a proposed iconic RM50million mosque; 3,000 units of affordable housing; Universiti Teknologi Mara campus in town; Rapid Kota Baru; and a solution to Kelantan's water supply woes are in the cards
Najib said the seven projects was part of Barisan Nasional's election manifesto which would be revealed eventually.
He said this during the Kelantan-leg of Jelajah Janji Ditepati at the Rural Transformation Centre here.
In his speech, Najib described Kelantanese as having much more potential to prosper in line with government's transformation initiatives, and that the Kelantanese have exemplary personalities who are national role models in sectors of defence, judiciary and government.
"Tok Pa (state BN chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed) is a son of padi farmer who is minister for international trade and industry. Even the chief of the armed forces is a Kelantanese from Pasir Mas."
