Court Allows Alvin, Vivian Released on bail of RM30, 000

The High Court, allowing the application of the controversial couple, Alvin and Vivian, to set bail at RM30, 000 each with two sureties and impose some additional conditions after hearing submissions from counsel and the prosecution today.

High Court Judge Datuk Azman Hussin made ​​the decision on an application submitted to the couple's bail last week.

Bus ticket price increased 10 percent

Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) allows only express bus operators charge an additional 10 percent by Hari Raya, compared to 30 percent of demand.

Approval is effective for all express buses and bus travel supplement, from July 8 until September 8th.

SPAD Communications Manager, Noor Hisham Mohd Taha, said the move would help defray the operating costs of bus operators to provide additional services due to high demand from consumers during the festive season.

SPAD is an initiative to reduce the burden of bus operators pending a decision on the proposed express bus fare increase of up to 30 percent, it said in a statement, here, today.

He commented on some bus operators refuse to sell tickets for the coming festive season following a SPAD pending on the proposed express bus fare increase that.

Elaborating, Noor Hisham said the tough demands fulfilled before the festive season as a comprehensive process of consultation and study on the matter are still underway and it will be announced before the end of this year.

Meanwhile, President of Pan Malaysia Bus Operators Association (PMBOA), Datuk Asfar Ali, when contacted, said he was surprised by the decision SPAD allows only 10 percent additional charges imposed on passengers.

He said the association would stand by the express bus fare increase proposal as soon as possible.

"The offer will not be withdrawn. Prospective pilgrims urged to continue the pilgrimage preparation as usual," said Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) in a statement today.
   
TH also recommend prospective pilgrims selected but not giving answers, so do so at once.
   
"Prospective pilgrims will be notified of their status by mail call pilgrimage is an intensive course and will be conducted," the statement said.
   
According to TH, who sent a letter of appeal to hajj this year, if they do not receive any further information until the end of Ramadan 1434H, it means that their appeal fails.

Army Sergeant be arrested in seclusion

An army sergeant was grabbed Enforcement Division Johor Religious Department (jaj) after being found seclusion along dark lover in a budget hotel in Simpang Renggam, here, yesterday.

"The couple were also required to report to the Office of Religious Oils today (yesterday) to take evidence," he said.

Recent turmoil plaguing the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will no longer invite any response from the Minister of Youth and Sports Khairy Jamaluddin appears 'broken heart' with the main body of the country's football.
